Through a comprehensive consultation process conducted across all SASSCAL Member States, the following priority areas were identified:
SASSCAL-supported research aims to enhance the understanding of climate change and land management impacts on the natural and socio-economic environments of the southern African region. This research will enable SASSCAL to offer targeted services and develop products tailored to the needs of end-users. All research initiatives backed by SASSCAL will generate scientifically robust knowledge, supporting national, regional, and global efforts to strengthen adaptation and mitigation strategies.
