The Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) will take part in the 2026 SADC Sustainable Energy Week, which will be held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from 23 to 27 February 2026.
The event brings together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, researchers, and innovators from across the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Its aim is to promote dialogue, innovation, and collaboration in sustainable energy development.
SASSCAL will participate as an exhibitor, showcasing its work in green hydrogen, climate change research, capacity development, and other key programmes. Through its exhibition, SASSCAL will also highlight ongoing projects, research outputs, and innovative solutions that support clean and sustainable energy development in the region.
During that week, SASSCAL representatives will join panel discussions and technical sessions on emerging trends in sustainable energy. These discussions will provide valuable insights to support informed decision-making and encourage innovative approaches within the energy sector.
The event will further offer opportunities for networking with key decision-makers and stakeholders from across the green hydrogen and sustainable energy value chain. These interactions are expected to strengthen partnerships and support regional efforts toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
