
SASSCAL is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rosalina Carlos Bengui as Scientific Officer at the Angola National Node, effective 01 February 2026.
Dr. Rosalina Carlos Bengui is an Agronomist and a specialist in food security and natural resource management, with a solid academic background that includes a Master’s degree in Plant Genetic Resources and a PhD in Agricultural Sciences.
With over 10 years of technical and strategic experience, she has built her career leading highly complex projects in the Education, Agriculture, and Environment sectors. Her most recent role as National Project Coordinator at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) stands out, where, for four years, she led multidisciplinary teams in initiatives focused on environmental conservation, sustainable food production, environmental impact studies, and scientific research.
Her international career includes experience in scientific research and teaching in Brazil and Angola, as well as a strategic role at FAS (Institute for Local Development). As a manager, she successfully led projects funded by the European Union, the African Development Bank, and the World Bank, generating tangible results for scientific development and the climate resilience of communities in Angola and internationally.
