SASSCAL has appointed Mr. Thaddeus Shigwedha as Resource Mobilization and Fundraising Specialist at the Regional Secretariat in Windhoek, Namibia, effective 01 February 2026.
Mr. Shigwedha joins SASSCAL from Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance in Geneva, where he served as Programme Manager managing a USD 250M+ technical assistance portfolio and was also responsible for Funding Design and Review.
He brings extensive experience in unlisted investment management, strategic resource mobilization, and partnership development from both the Private sector, multilateral organizations, and the development sector, having previously worked with the Secretariat of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Geneva and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance & Strategy from Midlands State University, and is a Certified ESG Practitioner. He is currently finalizing a PhD in Sustainable Development from the University of Otago.
Mr. Shigwedha is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner with professional certifications including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP®).
