SASSCAL has appointed Mr. Kosmas Enkali Shilongo as the new Programme Coordinator for the Namibia Node, effective 1 January 2026.
Mr. Shilongo joins SASSCAL from the Dryland Sustainable Landscape Impact Programme, where he served as National Project Coordinator. He brings with him extensive experience from both the public and non-governmental sectors, having previously worked with the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, and the World Wide Fund for Nature – Namibia.
He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of the Free State in South Africa, a Bachelor of Technology in Natural Resources from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, and a National Diploma in Natural Resources (Nature Conservation) from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) . Mr. Shilongo is currently a PhD candidate at NUST, where he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Resource Sciences. SASSCAL welcomes Mr. Shilongo and wishes him every success as he takes on this important role.
